Greenhouse gases trap heat and make the planet warmer,  leading to catastrophic weather events. Human activities are almost entirely the reason for the increase in atmospheric greenhouse gases over the last 150 years.

 

The largest source of greenhouse gas emissions from human activities is burning fossil fuels for electricity, heat, and transportation.  Carbon offset projects make a decisive contribution to combating global warming by demonstrably saving greenhouse gases.
